NATIONAL LIBRARY renovation in BEIRUT
After four decades of closure, the National Library of Beirut has been revived, reintroducing a cherished cultural landmark to the city. Tasked with the honor of its transformation, Craft Minds meticulously renovated five distinct areas within the library, each essential to its renewed purpose and identity. The open workspace now offers a collaborative environment enhanced by bespoke light oak staff desks, crafted to balance functionality with elegance.
The archive room, designed as a sanctuary for preservation, features custom-built light oak bookshelves, marrying durability with aesthetic refinement. The grandeur of the main hall has been rejuvenated, serving as the heart of the library, while the president’s office reflects a timeless sophistication designed to inspire and command.
Another workspace was thoughtfully crafted to support the library’s day-to-day operations, with every detail reflecting meticulous attention to quality. Throughout the project, light oak elements were central to unifying the design palette, while carefully sourced chairs complement the bespoke furnishings and elevate the overall ambiance.
This renovation not only restores the library’s historical significance but reimagines it as a space where tradition meets modernity—a place for learning, collaboration, and inspiration.
